ABOUT US

Lightning Tree Wines is the natural evolution of the passion Peter and Vikki Stewart share for the Australian Wine Industry. 

A viticulturist whose career began with Seppelts vineyards in 1987, Peter obtained an Associate Diploma in Wine Science at CSU and went on to manage vineyards in McLaren Vale and SE Qld.

He has also consulted and lectured in viticulture across three states.

​With a background in journalism and PR, Vikki worked for McLaren Vale Winemakers Association for several years in the mid '90s, coordinating their festivals and events, including the Bushing Festival, Continuous Picnic, and Sea & Vines Festival.

Peter and Vikki first relocated to the South Burnett Wine Region in 1997 and have always been keen to share their experience and enthusiasm for all things wine.  They developed their own wine label in 2018 and more recently opened Lightning Tree Wines' Cellar Door in Goomeri in March 2024 which is open daily, 10am to 4pm.
They live by the mantra that the best wines are crafted in the vineyard with the natural fruit characteristics enhanced in the bottle.
